DUNKES designs and manufactures high-performance ram extrusion presses for the compaction and extrusion of demanding plastics such as UHMW, PTFE, biopolymers, and other specialty materials.
Compared to screw extrusion, shear forces and unwanted temperature increases are significantly reduced, material losses are minimized, and uniform temperature control is maintained throughout the entire process.
Our systems enable precise control of all relevant process parameters—including pressure, temperature, and extrusion speed—while accounting for key design influences such as back pressure, sintering time, die length, and reduction ratio, as well as the relationship between cycle time and production output.

Presses can be provided in both horizontal and vertical configurations although horizontal configurations are generally more popular for long extrusions and vertical presses are more popular for shorter extrusions to save floor space.
