Composite materials with first-class surface quality.
The SMC process for reproducible, large-volume, dimensionally accurate and temperature-resistant parts with high-quality surface finish.
Our features at a glance
- Sheet Molding Compound (SMC)
- Bulk Molding Compound (BMC)
- Continuous fiber reinforced composites (D-LFT)
- Glass mats reinforced thermoplastics (GMT)
- Long fiber reinforced thermoplastics (LFT)
- Low pressure potting (LPM)

Molded parts can mimic the strength and complex geometries of metal, with corrosion-resistant and electrically insulating properties. Products here take many forms, from thin-walled containers to thick solid shapes, including electrical housings, helmets, and aircraft and automotive components.
When determining process parameters for compression molding, the material composition is of central importance. In addition to the shape and thickness of the part, the material selection determines the required preheating temperature, mold temperature, mold pressure, pressure holding time, cooling speed, suction pressure, suction times and hold-down force.
