Mount
Assembling, or mounting, is the controlled assembly of prefabricated components or subassemblies. A subgroup of this is “joining”.
For the assembly of components, DUNKES manufactures a wide variety of assembly presses individually designed according to customer requirements. Presses in C-frame design, 2- and 4-column design or as frame press.
For a controlled assembly process, a force-displacement measuring system is usually used (direct or indirect measurement, depending on the accuracy requirement).
Direct measurement is usually done with a force transducer mounted in a calotte on the ram cylinder. Indirect measurement via a strain gauge sensor system on the column chest or via the system pressure of the press hydraulics.
If the assembly process is carried out within the specified force-displacement window, an OK message is issued. If the assembly process is not OK, an error message is issued, which can be coupled with a blocking of the press for a further assembly process if desired. A further release can then only take place via a deliberate release of the press.
The presses can be designed as “stand-alone” machines or for integration into production lines. In the case of “stand-alone” presses, in most cases (low component weights) manual loading is performed directly into the die clamped in the press.
If there are accessibility restrictions or if loading has to be carried out by crane for weight reasons, sliding tables (single sliding table, 2 sliding tables in V arrangement) can also be used.
